When Covid started I created a handful of bread cutting boards, Version 1. I ended up giving them away or selling them and found myself with a need/want to make a Version 1.1

All of these bread cutting boards are functionally similar and mainly differ in the wood color scheme and which side the wooden tongs come out.

The top cutting grid is easily removable to help easily remove crumbs. It is held in place with some magnets and a few placement dowels. There are magnets along one of the edges which will keep a metal bread knife securely held in place. The tongs have a built in storage location and safely held in place with a small magnet.

All of the colors come naturally from the different woods. I used a combination of Maple (white), Walnut (brown), Purple Heart (purple) and Padauk (red). I used a thin piece of Maple veneer plywood as the crumb tray base to help fight against wood movement and to lower the final weight of the cutting board.

The entire thing is 16.5 inches wide (17 with the tong handle sticking out), 11 inches deep, and 3 inches tall.

This one is mine after a few months of light use. Those below are available for purchase.
