It was too hot to think

These last few days we’ve had a heat wave here in the Bay area, which made it too hot to function. That really slowed down my progress on this chess board I am building. The board is made up of end grain Maple and Bocote bordered with some poplar, purpleheart, and cherry. I built it for my friend, to get some practice with end grain boards.
